Dana Dorroh, Director, Senior Vice President, and Cofounder

Dana is a successful serial entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. In 1987 Dana started her own business, CAD Plus, specializing in CAD drafting, training, and hardware and software sales. She then merged CAD Plus with Plain Paper Solutions and grew the entity through organic growth and M&A of regional competitors. From 1994 through 1996 CAD Plus/Plain Paper solutions was recognized by Autodesk as the top dealer in the US and in the Inc. 500 list of Americas fastest growing privately held companies. In 1997, CAD Plus was purchased by IKON Office Solutions, where she served as the General Manger for two years before returning to the entrepreneurial world. In 2001, leveraging her deep network and relationships, Dana founded One Source — a professional recruiting company — working extensively with engineers, designers, and architects. Dana also engaged in a variety of strategic advisory, incubator, and investor roles including HumanCentric Technologies, Peakton Digital Media, The News Desk, Triangle Tech Ads, and Nurturing Self. Dana's philanthropic activities include serving on the board of directors of the Tammy Lynn Center For Developmental Disabilities and co-founder of Legacy of Joy. Dana has received numerous awards and accolades from trade and local media for her business acumen. She earned a BS from Mississippi State University.

Barry Beith, Ph.D., Director and Cofounder

Dr. Beith is an accomplished entrepreneur and renowned Human Factors and Ergonomics expert with over 20 years of success enhancing human experience. He has been recognized as a Fellow and a Past President of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Dr. Beith is currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for HumanCentric Technologies (HCT). As CTO, Dr. Beith has provided solutions in the mobile, medical, software, consumer products, and transportation domains. His clients include major technology and consumer companies such as GE, Abbott, Motorola, Qualcomm MediaFlo, Rubbermaid, Kodak, and the FAA. Dr. Beith also founded and sold Monterey Technologies. HumanCentric Technologies has received many accolades including as the "Consumer Technology Company of the Year" by the NCEITA in 2003. Dr. Beith started his career at IBM designing and testing complex software solutions. Dr. Beith earned a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University, a MA from California State University, Northridge, and BA from University of California, Santa Barbara.

Tom Gordon, Director & Cofounder

Tom is an innovative entrepreneur, technology executive, and management consultant. He is currently the Director of Software Engineering for GXS, a leading worldwide provider of business-to-business EDI and supply chain integration, synchronization and collaboration solutions. Prior to GXS, Tom helped lead business operations at Motricity, a well-known provider of mobile data solutions that enable wireless carriers and enterprises to deliver high-value, highly personalized mobile data services to their subscribers and consumers. He also created two start-ups in the software space and was a consulting manager at Price Waterhouse. Tom earned an MBA in finance from Vanderbilt University Owen Graduate School of Management, and a BS in Management Science from Virginia Tech.
